Torq support
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.
A starting point for the questions we hear most often. Product specifications and project requirements can vary, so speak to Torq whenever you need a definitive answer.
Products and suitability
What does Torq make?
Torq creates custom racewear, kartwear, mechanic wear, teamwear and sportswear for drivers, teams and clubs. The available specification and customisation route depends on the product.
How do I choose the right race suit?
Start with how and where you compete, the approval you require, your preferred construction and the level of design freedom you need. Torq can then help you compare the most suitable route.
Compare race suitsAre all Torq products FIA approved?
No. Approval varies by product and intended use. Products carrying an FIA-approved label are identified on their page, but you should always confirm the current requirement for your championship before ordering.
Can Torq supply a whole team?
Yes. Torq can coordinate clothing across drivers, mechanics and team personnel. Product availability, quantities and the best route for a consistent identity are confirmed during the project discussion.
Design and ordering
How do I start a project?
Book a design consultation and tell us what you need, when you need it and any product or template you already have in mind. You can also include reference links and logo files.
Book a design consultationDo I have to use a Torq template?
No. Templates are useful starting points, but the route available ranges from adapting an existing direction to developing a more individual design. This varies by product.
Browse templatesCan I use my own colours, logos and sponsors?
In most custom projects, yes. Torq will review supplied artwork and advise on placement, reproduction and any practical limitations before the design is approved.
Is there a minimum order?
Minimum quantities and order values vary across the range. Some products can be supplied individually, while coordinated teamwear and sportswear projects may have different requirements. Torq will confirm this before quotation.
How is pricing worked out?
Pricing depends on the product, specification, design route, quantity and sizing requirements. Where a guide price is not shown, Torq will provide a tailored quotation after reviewing the project.
Sizing, production and delivery
How do I choose the correct size?
The correct route depends on the garment. Torq provides standard size information and made-to-measure guidance where applicable, and can help if you are unsure which measurements to use.
View measurements and sizingWhere are Torq products made?
Torq is a British-based and British-owned company, with production in Italy. Product details and the appropriate production route are confirmed as part of each project.
How long will my order take?
Lead times vary with the product, quantity, design approvals and production schedule. Tell Torq about any fixed event date at the beginning of your enquiry so the realistic timing can be discussed before you proceed.
How should I care for my Torq garments?
Always follow the care label supplied with the garment. Care requirements differ by material and product, so contact Torq before cleaning if the label or instructions are unclear.

Can I speak to someone before deciding?
Yes. A design consultation is the best place to discuss suitability, design, quantities, timing and the next step without committing to a product route first.
